Marketing Your Home ...
As part of Marlene's
success in selling properties over the
years has been the extensive Marketing Plan she has developed for her listings. With the help of a qualified staff, she has been able to provide outstanding
service to her clients while having the
time to formulate and set in motion a great plan to market their home.

First Week:
- Specific marketing plan is developed
- Sign is ordered, lock box is placed on house
- Listing is entered into the Multiple Listing Service
- Office tour of the house is conducted
- Ads are developed and submitted to appropriate papers
- Professional brochures with color photo of home are
printed
- Home is discussed at weekly Long & Foster office
meeting
- Home is entered onto Marlene's web site
Second Week:
- Ad is submitted to Harmon Homes
- Cable ad is sent to Media General Cable
- Third ad is prepared for local papers (Herndon Observer,
Loudoun Easterner, Connection, Gazette, Washington Post, Leesburg Times are examples)
Third Week:
- Ad in Homes & Land Magazine
- Flyers mailed local offices of Top Producing Agents
- Possible Open House held on a Sunday (optional to
homeowner)
- Flyers distributed at Local Share Meeting of the Top 100
Agents
- Possible agent event is planned
Fourth Week:
- Review of activity on the property
- Planning and scheduling of agent event, i.e. luncheon, drawing, etc.
Discussed in monthly report.
- Monthly report to clients showing activities
- Number of showings
- Feedback received from agents, buyers
- Copies of ads
- Suggestions as to what activities and marketing ideas need to be
implemented
- Suggestions from feedback discussed regarding price, condition and terms
After Fourth Week:
- Featured in Virginia Homes magazine of the Washington Post
In addition to a monthly report, Marlene endeavors to contact all
clients at least every ten days. Also, in order to keep communication lines open,
Marlene meets every four to six weeks to discuss the marketing of your home and other
